Youth Mental Health Crisis: need help expanding article

[edit]

I recently noticed that no Wikipedia page exists for the Youth mental health crisis, despite extensive media coverage and research publications. I’ve started a stub, but it still far from adequate. I would greatly appreciate any help in expanding it, particularly in the sections on Prevalence and providing more information to reflect the global scope of the crisis. Discussion on Whether MEDRS applies to calling a group delusional

[edit]

Hello, there is a discussion on Talk:Electronic harassment about whether declaring a group 'delusional' falls under WP:MEDRS at Talk:Electronic harassment#Introduction Violates WP:MEDRS and WP:NPOV. This could use some editors more familiar with Wikipedia's standards. Amranu (talk) 20:36, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lifestance Health

[edit]

Hi, I could use some assistance with the Lifestance Health article I created today. Their website claims that they provide 2million visits/quarter and have nearly 8,000 clinicians in 30 states in the US. That they didn't have an article here already was quite surprising to me!

Anyway, much of the coverage of the company has been, well, negative. While I'm not one to defend private equity backed mental health companies, I want to ensure the article is well balanced. Or at least has an NPOV. So if others are able to help add to the article, or even provide high quality sources here that can help me and others add to the article, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

p.s. I'm not sure if this falls 100% within this project's scope, but figured I'd give a shot. If anyone has other project ideas or editors who might be helpful here, please let me know! Delectopierre (talk) 04:48, 6 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note, @Delectopierre. Wikipedia:WikiProject Psychology and Wikipedia:WikiProject Companies are two other groups you could inquire with.
I glanced over the article. I've never heard of this group and have not looked at any of the cited sources, nor looked for any additional sources. With those caveats, and relying on what you say about the coverage being negative, it does not look obviously unreasonable. I especially appreciated your decision to start with a plain description of more objective, factual information about the business, and to put the legal disputes last. Hi @WhatamIdoing thanks for taking a look and for the quick reply. I've notified the psychology wikiproject, but companies is a good idea too! I will post a notice there.
Thanks again! Delectopierre (talk) 08:05, 6 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

6C44 Disorders due to use of sedatives, hypnotics or anxiolytics

[edit]

I noticed that Wikipedia lacks an category on Category:Disorders due to use of sedatives, hypnotics or anxiolytics (as classified in ICD-11). Would it be appropriate to create this category as a subcategory of Category:Disorders due to substance use? While there are articles on Benzodiazepine dependence and Benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome, a broader entry covering sedatives, hypnotics, and anxiolytics more generally seems to be missing. PsyWoman (talk) 13:26, 26 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

We wouldn't normally create a category for just two or three articles. However, if there are, say, 10 articles (I'm not sure if there's an official rule, so that's just my guess), then I think creating it would be unexceptionable. WhatamIdoing (talk) 00:59, 30 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
How many articles does it usually take to justify a category? I imagine there’s some flexibility, but if needed, I’d be happy to contribute to filling in the gaps myself. The division by psychoactive substances seems not only logical but also quite valuable for structuring information effectively. PsyWoman (talk) 19:57, 30 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know. Wikipedia:Categories, lists, and navigation templates or a related page might have an answer. Or you could just ask on its talk page. WhatamIdoing (talk) 04:41, 31 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
