I wanted to add my name to the list, and so doing, found Ludvikus' request to organize the list alphabetically. In so doing, I decided to go the extra mile and made a couple of changes:
I changed the text at the beginning of the list to say: "Feel free to sign up here and introduce yourself, briefly providing information about your experience as a librarian. The top list is for members who have library experience, the lower list for those who support the work of librarians. Please add your name to the list in alphabetic order:"
I went through and examined all of the names members' entries in the section for librarians, to make certain that each was a librarian in some way. For those who are not actual librarians, I would want to move their names to the lower list of "Supporters of Librarians who contribute to Wikipedia".
In so doing, I came across one member whose name was in the Librarian's member list, but who does not seem to qualify to be considered to be a librarian: namely, Ludvikus. I decided to examine this further by going to this member's user page to determine if there was any indication on that page that he or she has been a librarian. What I found was that this person has been permanently blocked from editing due to malicious behaviour. Here is Ludvikus' user page: Ludvikus Click on the link that says "Block log" to see the specific infractions.
I decided to go ahead and remove Ludvikus' name from the upper list for librarians, and relocate it to the lower list for "Supporters of librarians". Because this user has been permanently blocked from editing, I am not sure what contribution he or she may be able to make to this project, and would propose permanently removing this user's name from this project. Also, because this user cannot make any edit changes, this includes not making changes to his or her own User page or status of various project's memberships. Therefore, it would be something to consider in deciding whether to remove the name from the rolls...
Another user, Tennessee Wood, also had no indication of having ever worked in a library. I relocated the user's name to the Supporters of Librarians list, and left a note in the User:talk page telling the user that if this was done in error, to feel free to relocate his or her name back to the Librarian list and provide evidence (as everyone else has) of having worked in a library. --Saukkomiestalk03:42, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
