Note
[edit]On the 23rd of December some foul chap replaced the Police page with swearing and insults against the police.
Just curious...
[edit]What does this page have to do with this WikiProject. I noticed it as prominently featured on the project's article banner and wondered whether someone was confused about the purposes of a WikiProject such as the current one, being of course to serve the articles within the scope of the title subject. I can see two avenues for how this situation could arise, the first being that "because we (or some of us) have a keen interest in law and order, we wish to use every conceivable project platform to express this passion – no matter how apropos", and the second being that this project, because it deals with law enforcement, which deals with enforcement of acceptable conduct, and because the project is within Wikipedia, then it should concern itself with promoting and raising awareness about acceptable conduct and counteracting bad behavior on Wikipedia. Both hardly constituting any reasonable rationale for the existence of this page, merely attesting to tangential relationships. Now, I don't see it doing any harm, so it's not like I would press for its removal, however, were there a cogent idea behind its inception I'd be interested in apprehending it. __meco (talk) 14:58, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
