Comments

[edit]

I propose to rename this "Template:Japan-related article news" and expand the content to include featured-article candidates and peer review, deletion news etc. within this single place. Editors can watch this template for updates on all of these together with newest articles. Any comments?

I support this. I've actually been using it somewhat that way already, with my announcements regarding greatly updated articles. --日本穣 Nihonjoe 00:32, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I hope to make the change soon, as long as people are supportive. Fg2 00:55, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Support. I like how you've used it to include news. But long discussions should be moved to the talk page. - Tangotango 11:25, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Archiving

[edit]

Here's a suggestion for archiving: around the first of a month, archive entries earlier than the sixteenth of the previous month. For example, on May 1, archive entries up to April 15. The two-week delay would give articles time to remain visible in the template. Alternatively, around mid-month, back up the previous month's articles. What do you think? Sounds fine to me. (^_^) --日本穣 Nihonjoe 03:34, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion section

[edit]

Do we want to just point people at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Japan for Japan-related articles up for deletion? It's generally kept up to date (mostly by me). It would be one fewer page to keep updated for the same thing. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 20:54, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fine by me! Fg2 04:31, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing articles that have been assessed

[edit]

Are the articles in the list removed after being assessed initially? Cause I don't see that they are... Ominae (talk) 09:04, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New Articles MmL - Q

[edit]

Does the "Manually-maintained list" contain articles that need to be assessed? Or is the list mainly to highlight new articles deserving attention? I noticed a couple of them didn't even have the WikiProject Japan banner on their Talk pages. Boneyard90 (talk) 14:47, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
