-- Most articles referencing the term signal point to Signal, which is a disambiguation page (see WP:DPL); some point to Signal (information theory), but that page has been edited by an apparent information theory expert to emphasize the random process characteristics of signals that are important in information theory, but not always in electronics. 'Completed' heading

[edit]

Do members think we should have a heading for completed tasks or should these just be moved under Check&Improve heading--Light current 20:31, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Expert opinion for edit dispute in Tesla coil

[edit]

I know this isn't the usual place to request this, and you folks are busy with more important projects, but I wonder if we could get some brief opinion on an edit dispute in Tesla coil. The question is whether the sentence "Tesla coil circuits were used commercially in spark-gap radio transmitters..." belongs in the article. The discussion is in Talk:Tesla coil#TESLA COIL USED IN TRANSMITTERS ?. Thanks. --ChetvornoTALK 17:08, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Refactor page

[edit]

This page seems to be pretty moribund. Most of the material is unsigned and undated but the articles in question have moved on enormously since the entry was made. I have made a first pass at clearing out the obviously unneeded stuff but the page is still a mess. Information on the same article is split over several sections and the lack of signatures makes it difficult to work out what is going on. Also, proposing merges on this page seems a bit pointless as there is an established, and more widely seen, templating system for achieving merges.

I propose to refactor the page to an article-per-subheading basis keeping only those entries for which an article is still required, the article is templated as still having a problem, or there is an active discussion. Everything else to be moved to an archive page. SpinningSpark 13:09, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Since no one is objecting (is anyone actually watching?) I have started the process. SpinningSpark 12:46, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
