Is good taste too obscure to be a part of Women's History?

Is this part of Women's history too obscure?

What is good taste? What is it about good taste that makes one a lady?

I am talking specifically about the sort of thing one learns in finishing school.

And I mean in the 20th century more than the 19th.

The reason this came up is because I started a draft page about Geneviève Antoine Dariaux. But she may not fit the criteria for her own page like a biography (although she might. It will take a great deal more research) But I think the topic on which she was an authority, specifically what is and what is not "elegant" (at least to the the 2oth century westerner) is an important part of women's history and it is being lost.

I am pretty new at this and have not even created an account yet. (or at least I am not sure I can find the one I might have created years ago as either Christy or theimperialprincess) If these questions/discussion should be elsewhere please let me know and I will be happy to take it to the proper place.
