"Wiki newbies learnt quite a bit about some of Wiki's editing and conversation protocols. Not only did we leave with some basic but practical skills in editing pages. We managed to a) rename the Caribbean music page African-Caribbean music: African-Caribbean_music, and b) we started work on what should eventually become new page for British Black Music - you can read content thus far posted in article at British_Black_music.

Presently wiki is mostly updated using the wikimarkup language. But thankfully for those of us so used to what you see is what you get formatting, Wiki is beta testing WYSIWYG editing tool called VisualEditor, which will make editing almost like using a Wordprocessor: Wikipedia:VisualEditor.

However, until it becomes less buggy, you can join the London WikiMeetUp group to brush up on Wiki knowledge, help and contacts by enquiring date from the Wiki editing tutor Leutha (talk)

i look forward to seeing your contributions towards improving African British history and British Black Music content on Wikipedia!!"

It was also mentioned that the pace of the session could have been better.
