Removal of user space templates

[edit]

Under what guideline are userbox templates created in user space being removed? Aren't all userboxes supposed to be migrating to user space anyway? Stevie is the man! TalkWork 16:02, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not "all".
"It should be noted that use of [userboxes related to beliefs, ideologies, viewpoints on controversial issues, and ethical convictions] is strongly discouraged at Wikipedia, and it is likely that very soon all these userboxes will be deleted or moved to userspace. Their use and creation is not recommended at this time." - Wikipedia:Jimbo on Userboxes.
Hope this helps : )

Thank you for jogging my memory on that. Still, I don't know why userboxes coming from user space need to be removed from this page. Is there a guideline or ruling on that? Stevie is the man! TalkWork 16:31, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Check out Wikipedia:Userbox policy. It's still under development though. - Jc37 16:55, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at it to find what you're talking about. Since it's a proposal, it's certainly not enforceable at this time. On the other hand, the template I would like to add back could be moved to template space, as it doesn't qualify as one that has to be in user space. I will resolve this by moving my template, and I suppose others can take responsibility for their own userboxes. Hope that's all right. Thanks. Stevie is the man! You have Deadwood and The Sopranos...

Request

I'm not good with making userboxes. Can whoever does this make a Two and a Half Men?--ASDFGHJKL 00:35, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know the series very well. What would you want the ubx to say? Just "This user likes ..." or something more specific for the show? --Bisco 00:15, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Need for BBC

[edit]

As a U.K. resident, may I ask why there are no logos for BBC Channels, such as BBC Two or the digital channel, BBC Four? ACEO 18:35, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was also going to ask about BBC Regions (inc BBC 2W), and can I add why there is not a proper one for S4C for those that prefer it to Channel 4. pjb007 15:49, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm surprised that there's no WikiProject One Tree Hill, but I'll guess this userbox will do:

Fair use rationale for Image:ChuckTV.jpg

[edit]

Image:ChuckTV.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Specific TV shows

[edit]

There is no reason for the "TV shows" section, it is redundant and its contents should be moved to the appropriate userbox listings for TV shows.-Zyrath (talk) 17:15, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
