Grammar and bad phrasing: "When after many weeks the ship was crushed by ice and sunk its captain, ..." should be "When after many weeks the ship was crushed by ice and sank, its captain, ..." Some more commas around "after many weeks" might be required but this at least will make it more readable. ~Bobogoobo (talk) 04:05, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: I've added the comma, but I've kept it as "sunk". (Compare "the ship was sank" with "the ship was sunk".) For next time, you're likely to get a quicker response at WP:ERRORS. Best — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 04:20, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, thanks. I took "and sunk" to be independent of "was crushed by ice", in which case it would mean "the ship sank", thus avoiding a little too much passive voice. ~Bobogoobo (talk) 04:38, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
