Translation?

[edit]

Here is a featured article on the German wikipedia with no English equivalent. Any German-speakers up for collaborating on translating it?—S Marshall Talk/Cont 23:02, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Before I begin my dramaout, I would first like to mention that this very page is ironic, given that you are using a non-mainspace page to log edits made while boycotting non-mainspace pages. With that said, I must now attend to some work in the mainspace. Resolute 04:19, 18 July 2009 (UTC) (oh, and given how slow the GA and FA process moves, it might make more sense to log nominations made during this time, and perhaps come back in a month to judge the success rate of those noms)[reply]

  • Oh, I understand that. The proposal in a nutshell, however, says to avoid all non-article areas. It's just one of those funny situations created by loose wording.  ;) Resolute 14:51, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wow!

[edit]

I'm shocked at we can and still are doing. To everyone, congradulations!Abce2|Aww nuts!Wribbit!(Sign here) 23:08, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

[edit]

I've been doing work with rationalizing some school categories, creating a few new ones as needed. Anyone object to me making another subheading under "Other Work"? I'd never bothered with the categorization process very much until now, but there seems to be an awful lot of work there as well. Funny how a reminder about your purpose can open your eyes to new things! Matt Deres (talk) 03:28, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DYKs

[edit]

If anyone wants to help do up some DYKs for Battle of the Oranges, Nói Síríus, Pocket neighborhood, Pink Dot, or Hof's Hutt, that would be very cool. A couple of them may need some expansion. ChildofMidnight (talk) 20:19, 19 July 2009 (UTC)  Done[reply]

Did one for Battle of the Oranges. You know, you can self-nom on these if they qualify... --Jayron32.talk.say no to drama 20:34, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also nominated Immigration Equality (organization) for DYK. --Jayron32.talk.say no to drama 23:23, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Nominated Amakusa Airfield for DYK. OhanaUnitedTalk page 18:13, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Nominated Hof's Hut as well. a little insignificant 20:27, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We need

[edit]

A second NODRAMA interlude to expand the stuff we've written this time!

Seriously, the editing patterns are revealing. We've got about twice as many new articles written, as we have old articles copyedited—and the number of tags resolved is amazingly small. The focus has definitely been on writing new stuff instead of improving old stuff. (And I'm one of the worst culprits, cos I've written a dozen, fixed zero tags, and copyedited none at all.)

What's causing that? Is it a problem with the "log things here" structure, where writing a new article seems to give more wikicredibility than improving an old one?—S Marshall Talk/Cont 23:32, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I actually caused an article to have a fact tag attached to a statement after I improved <_< OhanaUnitedTalk page 23:36, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. I'm going to calender the first weekend of every month to work on the shiznit I forgot how to do when I got a toolkit. Law type! snype? 00:27, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article

[edit]

I'm currently working on an article offline that I started at the beginning of the Dramaout. It will be submitted on Sunday at the earliest. Will I be allowed to add this article to the list? --William S. Saturn (talk) 06:42, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
