Katie Miller grew up in Roanoke Texas. She was born on November 6, 1998. At age 10 in the year 2009, she started her own book on March 25, 2009. She wanted to be the youngest author. She says, "You have to work on it 24.7 or you get distracted and get pulled away from the goal." It takes time, she says.

Her best friend is Heather Erickson, she is in 4th grade, and went to Paris, FRance in January of 2008 with two of her three sisters and her dad. At home was her brother, other sister, and mom. She's been writing books since 1st grade, which later got erased from technical difficulties. It was called Nellie and Nathan, and the rainbow winged bat. Both of those barely got over 5 pages long, but her current book is over 40! She has only been working on it for a couple weeks! She is 150% texas and is proud of it and always will be. She is fascinated by it's history. Speaking of which, she loves history, and plans to write a book about it later in her years. Her father, Michael SCott Miller, teaches her everything. Her mother is Virginian, and Virginia is Katie's favorite place to go on vacation. She really wants to go to Italy, and plans to play in a professional soccer game in BRazil with Heather Erickson after they finish attending college at BYU Provo, Utah.
