1470 - Richard Neville, the Earl of Warwick, restored Henry VI to the British throne during the Wars of the Roses.

It should say English throne - there was no Britain in 1470. SoLando (Talk) 03:24, 30 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed. Thanks for pointing this out. -- PFHLai 07:24, 30 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Mischief Night in Ireland

[edit]

Does the link mean all of the island of Ireland (which includes Northern Ireland), or should it link to the Republic of Ireland? Green caterpillar (talk) 02:08, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder why Mischief Night isn't listed for this day

[edit]

Tonight is Mischief Night and I do not know why this occasion was removed. The occasion originated in Britain. SpinnerLaserzthe2nd (talk) 17:54, 30 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

War of the Worlds

[edit]

This doesn't quite come to the level of WP:ERRORS, but we might want to rethink the War of the Worlds blurb for future years given that The War of the Worlds (1938 radio drama) establishes that the reports of mass panic we highly exaggerated. I'd suggest either changing "some listeners" to "a small number of listeners", or copying the postface though the scale of panic is disputed, as the program had relatively few listeners from that article's lede. --Ahecht (TALK
