The following padlocks indicate protection levels:

  • Brass (FULL)
  • Pink (TEMPLATE)
  • Silver (SEMI)
  • Skyblue (SALT)
  • Olive (MOVE)
  • Purple (UPLOAD)
  • Silver (light) (PC L1)
  • Orange (PC L2)
  • Red (INDEF)

But the following indicates the source of the protection, not the level.

  • Black (OFFICE)

I suggest that we create a new set of padlocks with the existing protection levels and a diagonal black band to indicate that a page was protected under an Office action while still indicating the actual protection level. An alternative would be a diagonal dividing line with the upper triangle indicating protection level and the lower indicating an Office action. --Guy Macon (talk) 20:02, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't know this subpage existed. Perhaps we should combine it with Template:Padlock list? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:53, 15 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It was created during the discussion over which padlock lock to use for template protected pages by looking at the available options vs what is in use. Template:Padlock list is more focused at just what are in use. There was also an attempt to create a category at Category:Padlock icons. PaleAqua (talk) 15:29, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
