Good luck with this event! I love everything about this but the color is a bit frightening! could it be a bit less firetruck red? (also: are you inviting people met at the NIH and other DC-area meetups/academies over the past year+ ? Many of them probably got to site through an academy session but did not get to start editing themselves...) – SJ + 04:54, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SJ! Thanks. We're almost full on registration, which is great! And yes, the red was pretty in your face so thanks for updating (I just copied a previous DC meetup page). I've actually never been to a DC Wikipedia Meetup but would love any advice/help on spreading the word. I've just been using WOM on Twitter and Facebook. You can set up a geonotice to let people who log onto wikipedia from your area know that the event is happening. That's a great way to attract people you don't otherwise have a connection to. – SJ + 22:52, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Missed WWWW1(?) by 'this much'! Any plans for future such events (WWWW2)? Has anyone discussed participating in next year's Science & Engineering Festival in DC or any of the satellite STEM events this year?

Wikipedia:Workshop for Women in Wikipedia

[edit]

Just listed your workshop here so people can review the agenda, etc. when planning their own workshops. CarolMooreDC 22:33, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
