!vote for a Sunday

[edit]

I !vote for having this meetup on a Sunday. A weekday evening conflicts with my swimming schedule. SchuminWeb (Talk) 23:11, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, it's almost the holidays. We have Wikipedia:Meetup/DC 26 on December 17th, a Saturday, including an after-event social event. I suggest that be the event for December. I'd like to do a social-only event sometime, in early January.
Options:
  • Sunday, January 1 - 5pm @ somewhere, like Capitol City (other suggestions?)
  • Tuesday, January 3 - 6pm - on, Capitol City or elsewhere
  • Wednesday, January 4 - 6pm - on, Cap City
  • Saturday or Sunday, Jan 14 / 15 - 5pm @ Capitol City or some place
I think January 7 might be a scan-a-thon at NARA, and January 14 or 15th might be a meetup at the Pratt Library in Baltimore. I realize not everyone (most people) can't make those, especially Baltimore, so I think something in DC on Jan 14 or 15 would work. Cheers. --Aude (talk) 17:29, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Since January 15 is Wikipedia Day, I would suggest that we make sure to have some kind of event that day. I think having something else the week of January 1 as well might be overkill. Dominic·t 22:05, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
