- Editors are volunteers, so usually, you have to wait for someone to do it out of their own interest. Since you appear sufficiently notable, I went ahead and created a stub at Bernard_J._Matkowsky, however, since I am not a mathematician, I can't really do more about it. Does anyone even go on here anymore?
Just delete this dying page, its time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coolmandude545 (talk • contribs) 14:03, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

- Do not delete. The Embassy doesn't come up often, but it can be useful when someone who doesn't speak English wants to tell about a problem on the English Wikipedia. This comes up the most often when we fix a mistake on one wikipedia, but that mistake has already been copied to another wikipedia. I've used Embassies on non-English Wikipedias that way successfully. – b_jonas 02:19, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. Instead of deleting it, it should be promoted so more people participate and know about the resource.--Thinker78 (talk) 18:28, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
- I vote for cleaning it up a bit. I just saw my own comments from 2015 here. Let's archive the ancient stuff and maybe just plain delete some. I think it would look less abandoned and confusing then. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 19:15, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

Frans Alfred Meeng - can someone translate his service details from Dutch?
I have added a casualty list from the Junyo Maru sinking as a citation to this man's wikipedia article. I am not fluent in Dutch so I would appreciate Dutch fluent users looking up this list and write his service details into the text. Against his name appears ^Korp.Ziekenvergerplgr. K.M.' After a quick look in English wikipedia articles on the Dutch armed forces I know the latter to be the vernacular abbreviations of the Netherlands Marine Corps but of the rank I can only make out 'Corporal-something'.Cloptonson (talk) 07:25, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
Help with the Russian Ambassadors
I'm trying to get ahold of the Russian Wikipedia ambassadors but it looks like a bunch of the Russian-English ambassadors linked on the Russian Wikipedia ambassadors section are no longer apart of Wikipedia. Is this the right place to get help with that? Thanks! Tyrone Madera (talk) 23:02, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Tyrone Madera: You could try asking for help at Wikipedia:WikiProject Russia. Thinker78 (talk) 23:48, 26 May 2021 (UTC)

Citations wanted - potential entries in List of footballers killed during World War II
As main contributor to the English language wiki article List of footballers killed during World War II, I would like to flag up for attention of users of other languages or with access to foreign language sources a number of candidates for the list that are already wiki-articled and known or believed to have been killed in or died as a result of circumstances brought on by the war (eg execution, in enemy captivity, effects of wounds etc) but which so far lack a reliable citation regarding their death which is preconditional to inclusion in that list.
A few have no death circumstances described in the text of their article but I note have been put on category lists that suggest someone knew/believed they died in wartime circumstances. I also include those whose death circumstances are disputed - see their talk pages in English wikipedia for further detail - and who are in need of a conclusive ruling in or out.
- Dragutin Babic (Yugoslavia) - there is a source in Croat language but it is unclear to me it indicates manner of death
- Walter Berg (Germany) - alleged died in Soviet captivity after capture in war in 1949
- Henri Bierna (Belgium)
- Walter Claus-Oehler (Germany)
- Eddy de Neve (Netherlands) - also disputed death circumstance and identity
- Jozsef Eisenhoffer (Hungary)
- Hermann Flick (Germany)
- Jur Haak (Netherlands) - CITATION LOCATED (Olympedia) byCloptonson (talk) 21:14, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- Franz Jelinek (Austria)
- Werner Klaas (Germany)
- Karol Kossok (Poland)
- Franz Krumm (Germany)
- Harry Kuneman (Netherlands)
- Willi Lindner (Germany) - source in German language, not fully clear about death details
- Josef Madlmayer (Austria)
- Richard Malik (Germany)
- Alexander Martinek (Austria)
- Otto Martwig (Germany)
- Philip Meldon (Ireland) - disputed death details, not known to British Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
- Hans Mengel (Germany)
- Adam Obrubanski (Poland)
- Slavko Pavletic (Croatia)
- Mimis Pierrakos (Greece)
- Alfreds Plade (Latvia)
- Eriks Raisters (Latvia)
- Stasys Razma (Lithuania) - disputed death details
- Fyodor Rimsha (Russia)
- Janis Rozitis (Latvia)
- Holger Salin (Finland)
- Aleksandrs Stankus (Latvia)
- Erwin Stührk (Germany)
- Piet Tekelenburg (Netherlands)
- Istvan Toth (Hungary)
- Lothar van Gogh (Netherlands)
- Willi Volker (Germany)
- Karl Wahlmuller (Austria)
- Heinz Warnken (Germany)
- Willi Wigold (Germany) - disputed death dates
There may be additions coming onto the list so I encourage watch this space! Others are welcome to add. Please let me know if sources are found and added into pages. I advise the articles in English wikipedia are read before offering up sources for citations.
This list is copied from one already in the Talk page of the English WikiProject Football, a member of whom suggested I draw it to the attention of foreign wikis.Cloptonson (talk) 16:29, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
