very cool
[edit]This is great! Might have known it was a tlc production. :) Valereee (talk) 23:29, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- I just realized today that this existed. If I had known last month I could have told people I may be on the bottom of the list, but I still made the list. ;-) --evrik (talk) 04:48, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
thank you
[edit]Nice list that I saw by accident, thank you, Theleekycauldron Can we please mark users who died? I recognize Yoninah and Allen3. I don't understand what's added to Yoninah. I don't like the "sockpuppet" marking of PumpkinSky. There was Rlevse (who did most, I assume), and later PS, accepted after some debate as a clean start. I'd prefer Rlevse and no addition, if their contribs can't be separated? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:00, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt: Z"L (zichrono livracha, "may their memory be a blessing") is a common honorific for a late Jewish person. Feels weird having two accounts from the same person on the list, although I know you and PumpkinSky were friends back in the day :) theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 08:07, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry about my ignorance! Is the list only for Jewish readers? Which language blessing for Allen who was meant to be desysopped after a promotion, and who was a true blessing for DYK? As Yoninah. You have no idea how many times I think what would Yoninah have said now, and how I wish she was still around, with that remarkable spirit of doing things together. If it can't be split, I'd go for just Rlevse who was much more active on DYK, same kind of blessing as the two who died. I won't forget how he was suddenly gone over a copyvio accusation on TFA day, Halloween 2010. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:23, 14 September 2024 (UTC)

well apologies, I had no idea you felt so strongly about the issue :) deceased Wikipedians usually aren't notated on lists of any kind because it's rather difficult to track, and I'm not going to be around to maintain this manually forever. So if it's a fairness thing, I suppose I can remove the notation from Yoninah's username, and that way the list will remain up-to-date well into the future by remaining agnostic on users. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 09:04, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
