Jmabel and myself, have agreed that Wiley is the institution we are approaching first. Wiley is a good choice for three reasons: they are the oldest HBCU west of the Mississippi, they have been a pioneer in the usage of computer technology in college education in Texas, and thier location in Marshall, Texas, where I live, allows the outreach to send a representative in person. -JCarriker June 29, 2005 09:51 (UTC)

Will you post updates (now or in future) on how the project is progressing? I'd be very interested to hear. Thanks. Babajobu 8 July 2005 11:59 (UTC)
  • Certainly. :) -JCarriker July 8, 2005 18:11 (UTC)

I prefer to post anon. Haven't logged into Wiki on my account in about 3 years. Many changes in that time. It seems the "meta" end of things gets lots more attention -- categories and templated projects and such. Same bull-stool politics. I've a particular interest in ABHMS sponsored HBCUs. I've found Wikipedia wanting, but other than some text on Virginia University of Lynchburg, haven't done much contributing to date -- mainly because I'd be creating Wiki Links to articles which don't exist -- even the ABHMS doesn't have an entry. Biographies of key people -- nowhere. I guess some peacemeal -- and with confidence that others are involved, I'll start editing some articles. Probably anon, but since names are wanted User:BobCMU76 65.147.142.16 11:01, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
