Culture and government: list of Ministries of Culture
[edit]Short: Wouldn't a category allowing to jump to Ministries of Culture be meaningful and hence have a place in the portal? If so, please add your support by clicking the edit and say "Yes" or something along these lines and if you have time maybe even help explaining why it is meaningful to have such a category. Long: Hi and thx for reading. I've come in here preparing for the "European Culture Forum 2011", organized by the EU Directorate General of Culture and Education. It takes place 20 and 21st of October 2011. The EU Culture Forum is the annual space and networking place where 800 players that affect culture come together to listen what the DG of Culture has been doing and not doing, why, and what are the main lines of strategy for the next year. Reading through this years program, a lot is dedicated to the link between culture and digitization. Participating a lot with the Directorate General (DG) Energy, the DG Environment, the DG Transport, the DG Climate Change and all what I hear there and then aligning that with what I hear from the DG Culture, it is my belief they are looking for ways to make all that EU diversity and pluralism come across more logically, to scale up what we have in the EU, make actors integrate digitization in their actions, make EU actors make more alliances in the EU, to match the demands, challenges and opportunities of the world and our partners in the multi-polar world and its green economy. I'd like to know if the community behind the organization of this portal has anything it wants me to bring to the Forum. Thy--SvenAERTS (talk) 09:46, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Beatles RfC
[edit]You are invited to participate in an RfC at Wikipedia talk:Requests for mediation/The Beatles on the issue of capitalising the definite article when mentioning that band's name in running prose. This long-standing dispute is the subject of an open mediation case and we are requesting your help with determining the current community consensus. Thank you for your time. For the mediators. ~ GabeMc (talk|contribs) 23:36, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
