Time to reduce protection to the article?
This page was fully protected for unclear reason. Shouldn't this be lowered to something like extended protected. It is uncommon for a page like this to be fully protected that long. If you have opposes, please let me know. Toadette (Let's talk together!) 13:55, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- The page is a main way to contact so if the protection was lowered, ite likely someone would take the changce to greif / change it JoBo Gamer (contribs) 10:05, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
Reasons for contacting Wikipedia
I'm wondering why there isn't a category for reporting technical issues. Dismalscholar (talk) 03:26, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
Can we get rid of the "back to main page" link? Also we still need to link to WP:RFO.
I know this is a nitpick, but since this page is linked in the footer of all pages on Wikipedia, the main page would likely be just be another page, not one a reader would want to go "back" to. The "back to main page" button is just clutter since they can just use the back button instead.
Also, I still stand by my critique from two years ago that it needs to be easier to get to WP:Oversight or WP:RFO from here. Someone who has been doxed, threatened, or defamed on Wikipedia will likely come to this page when looking for who to contact. Someone else mentioned a similar problem at /Archive 5#Threats of harm (again). PBZE (talk) 05:44, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
Suggestions
The 'Contact us' page doesn't say how to make suggestions. I have a suggestion, so I ferreted around a bit to see where the best place to make it was, and came across (or stumbled across) Wikipedia talk:Contact us. Great, I thought, that'll be the place. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but it at least ought to mention suggestions, i.m.o., either by redirecting the reader or by explaining it here. Nick Barnett (talk) 20:08, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
