Wikipedia talk:Co-op/Bayleyinlight
@Bayleyinlight: Hey there, welcome to Wikipedia. I had a few questions before we started. You claim to have a COI with regard to the Kogan Page article that is currently nominated for deletion, but it's not really clear to me what that COI is. You wrote on your userpage that you are not being paid for contributing to Wikipedia. That is good to know. Are you affiliated with the company or someone else at the company in some way? In any case, I think it is a good idea to restrict your contributions to the article to its talk page, and more importantly, the deletion discussion. I'd also encourage you to edit other places, like you have been in your initial edits to Joseph P. Kolter.
In terms of trying to prevent the article from being deleted, the general idea is to seek out and present reliable, independent sources that talk about the company in detail in the discussion and show how they contradict the rationale for deletion. Some articles from the deletion discussion aren't useful because they don't mention the company, or only include very brief quotations from company representatives about other topics. This Publisher's Weekly article is a good example of a reliable source for Berkshire Publishing. I, JethroBT drop me a line 17:33, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
