Deny?
[edit]Re: denying this bot. While this bot does not seem to require a BOT FLAG per se, we have a history of approving a "bot operation" an allowing use of the bot account for the specific task without a flag. Any objections to this? — xaosflux Talk 01:26, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- He told Martin and I on IRC that he wants to use my plugin to perform manual assessments. That is very much a judgement process and ought to be done under his own account I think. Also, he wants a flag for other operations, so the edits might end up being under a bot flag. There is one other issue which you'll need to talk to one of us off-wiki about.
- At the end of the day, he doesn't need bot approval for the task, so this was denial of the flag for now. There's nothing stopping him doing the task as he doesn't need approval in the first place. --kingboyk 11:46, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- The correct status of this is "Withdrawn by BAG as flag not needed". There's no such template so I used "Denied" instead. I have absolutely no objection to the decision being modified to reflect this. --kingboyk 12:31, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the update. — xaosflux Talk 02:39, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
