Is this a shortcut?
[edit]Paine Ellsworth, is this really a shortcut? It doesn't seem to meet the definition to me. Andrewa (talk) 09:40, 25 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, Andrewa, always nice to find other editors who edit on Christmas day! And yes, wp:base name is a shortcut, especially if you, like me, give the word "abbreviated wikilink" in the definition small weight and give most of the juice to the "Shortcuts are created for the convenience of editors" part. I found this shortcut and used it in the finally successful bid to correctly title the New York article. It's an especially useful shortcut in my mind. I wish you the Happiest of New Years, my friend! Paine 12:03, 25 December 2017 (UTC)
