Response to proposed deletion[edit]

I used the barcamp article as the basis of this article as there seemed to be a similarity. We wanted to have an article in WP that referenced this event and got people interested. If there is an alternative location then that would be fine however we would rather keep this as an article and also updating WP:Meetup with details of the meetings that are planned to take place.

Contact[edit]

I'll be doing my best in behalf of Wikimedia UK to make this event a success. If there are any comments or queries related to the Wikipedia aspects, please direct them to me, as I'm probably best placed to answer those. I have no affiliation with Barclays, however, and can't speak for them. Cheers --RexxS (talk) 16:39, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

New York[edit]

I only this minute found out about the event. Did it go well? Jim.henderson (talk) 09:57, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It did go well, thanks Jim. At last count there were:
  • 472 "saves"
  • 378 pages edited or created
  • 18 language Wikipedias edited
  • 12 different Barclays sites participated
There will be more events of this kind, I'm sure, so I'll let you know about the next one. --RexxS (talk) 12:44, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well done; the number of languages edited is particularly impressive. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:52, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
