Welcome to WikiProject Wikisource. Several Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's linkage to and citation of Wikisource texts and author pages. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. If you would like to help, please join the project, inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list below.
Goals
[edit]- Improve inter-wiki interoperability between Wikipedia and Wikisource.
Scope
[edit]- Improving citation uniformity.
- Removing direct links from content.
- Potentially condensing templates and organizing found at and under Category:Wikisource templates.
- Increasing Wikisource references.
Guidelines
[edit]Open tasks
[edit]- Improve Wikisource article; tagged with {{Primary sources}}, {{Or}}, and {{Citation needed}}. Start class.
- Improve citations to Wikisource.
- Improve and co-ordinate the citation template(s).
- Improve the use of Wikisource citation templates on Wikipedia. Eg. Use as citations, not external links; make such citations inline and specific; convert large collections of external links into Wikisource portals, leaving one link instead of several.
- Work on linking highly visible articles via DYK:
- Add "wikisource=" parameter to book infoboxes (see Black Beauty)

Articles
[edit]New articles
[edit]Please feel free to list your new Wikisource-related articles here (newer articles at the top, please). Any new articles that have an interesting or unusual fact in them, are at least over 1,000 characters, don't have any dispute templates on them, and cite their sources, should be suggested for the Did you know? box on the Wikipedia Main Page.
Sometimes after digitizing a text at Wikisource, an article may be warranted in Wikipedia. This also applies to authors and many other things. Feel free to list works arising from this:
