Wikipedia Takes Albany is part of Wikipedia Takes America and Wiki Loves Monuments in the US in September 2013.

The Wikipedia Takes Albany photo scavenger hunt is aimed at illustrating Wikipedia articles covering the magnificent sights and history of Albany! It will be held on Saturday September 21, 2013.

This is a distributed event. Preferably bring a digital camera with removable memory card. If using a phone-camera, please bring the necessary cable to transfer your photos.

Events of the Day

• This will be a distributed event, in which small groups are encouraged to explore together. The overall event will be coordinated online.

Rules

• Teams must consist of three or more people. (If you don't have a team, don't worry, we'll find one for you.)
• Teams must stay together.
• Photos for the Wiki Loves Monuments contest should not include faces (for privacy reasons).

Article Candidates

• Uncle Sam, Troy
• Pedestrian walkway across the Hudson River via Rtes 9 and 20 between Albany and Rensselaer (never walked it, may or may not provide a good view of capital buildings - although the best view appears to along an area which may be driving only.)
