Wikipedia:Wikimedia Regional Conferences

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wikimedia Regional Conferences are gatherings of Wikimedians from a specific region of the world. They are a valuable opportunity for Wikimedians to network, whereby they share best practices and collaborate on projects. The conferences also provide a platform to raise awareness of the Wikimedia movement.

The conferences are typically held annually and are open to all Wikimedians. They are usually held in a different location each year, and they are regularly hosted by a Wikimedia affiliate.

This is in contrast to the Wikimedia Global Conference which had its largest content in 2023 with 2,100 attendees from 138 countries.[1]
