This course will outline the historical foundation and contemporary issues in wildlife ecology and management. Students will explore key concepts and management principles involved in the conservation of terrestrial and aquatic animal populations and the habitats they need to survive. This course provides an overview of population ecology, landscape ecology, and the role of human dimensions in the conservation and management of game and non-game species. Students will be introduced to the discipline through lectures, readings, case studies, videos, and group activities.
