College Writing is a one-semester required course that, among various aims, is intended to help students "build awareness of the intersections of writing, language, and power; develop effective composing processes to use in future writing contexts; and create projects that demonstrate [their] agency in the process of making composing choices." The Wikipedia assignment will align with these goals, while also supporting course requirements involving research skills, information literacy, and multimodal composing.
