The course provides an in-depth overview of the achievements of women artists throughout history. The Wikipedia assignment is the major research/writing project of the semester. Students will have their choice of either significantly editing or creating an article on a significant woman artist (or other gender-identifying, other than male). Emphasis will be on artists of color. They will also have the option of creating an article on a significant work of art by a woman artist, if they prefer.
