During this project, you will be participating in improving coverage of women and gender minorities related to gender and sexuality studies on Wikipedia.
You will meet with GSS Librarians Rosalinda and Leah for two library sessions. In the first library session, you will learn more about editing Wikipedia from a feminist perspective and develop sound research strategies for finding, evaluating, and using biographical sources. In the second library session, you will edit the Wikipedia articles you have chosen based on individual research you've done.
Your final assignment for this project will be the following:
Add at least 2 sentences to your assigned article, and cite each statement to a reliable source, as you learned in the online training. Add an additional 1-3 citations to existing statements in your assigned article.

- Assignment - Choose your Wikipedia article
- Pick a Wikipedia Article
- Go to the Choose Your Article tab under Library Resources in Canvas and complete the Wikipedia pre-assignment. You will be asked to provide the following:
- Your name
- Your Wikipedia username
- Your Wikipedia article title & url
- A short statement on why you chose your article, and what you want to edit or change and why
