Trove

Trove is a database provided by the National Library of Australia. The newspaper search section is useful for finding historical information about women's sport in Australia and New Zealand. Trove also searches books, images, historic newspapers, maps, music, archives and more.

Sport organisations

The following is a list of annual reports, constitutions and other publications by women oriented sport organisations or by a group, government or sport organisation that has published material specifically about women's sport.

National Sport Information Centre

The National Sport Information Centre (NSIC) is a sport library based in Canberra, Australia. It is run by the Australian Institute of Sport. The library has many books about sport, with a focus on sport performance though it does have an extensive collection of books and related materials for the Olympics and Paralympics related to Australia and the international sport community. NSIC also has a two shelves specifically dedicated to women's sport and another two shelves dedicated to children's sport. The library also has an extensive collection of journals. Some of these journals specifically relate to women's sport.

NSIC also has a collection of annual reports from various Australian national and international sporting organisations. These can be searched on the internet at the full text search part of their website.


University of Canberra Library

The University of Canberra is home to the University of Canberra National Institute of Sport Studies program. The program focuses largely on sport performance. Because of this, the library has a decent collection of books about women's sport. These books include but are not limited to:
