The Lights Camera Wiki! / Dance video initiative is a part of WikiProject Lights Camera Wiki, in collaboration with Wikimedia New York City. Its purpose is to encourage a broader public creation of video content exploring the art and expression of dance.

Participants are encouraged to produce short videos that exemplify a form of dance, with the videos being used to enhance the corresponding Wikipedia articles.

We are also glad to work with the cooperation of the Dancers! Project on this initiative.

Guidelines

[edit]

Dance is hard to convey without motion. Here are some thoughts on composition for dance videos. Add some info here.

If your video includes music, make sure that the music is licensed under a free license or in the public domain. (This includes the arrangement, lyrics, and performance rights.) Please note the license of the music separately in the Permission field of the upload form.

See the main Lights Camera Wiki page for general video workflow instructions.
