Seven Samurai 20XX (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) is the first ever article I've contributed to wikipedia. Over my timeframe as a wikipedian, my editting skills have matured as well as my knowledge of constructing a competent article for this encyclopedia. I would appreciate any comments on its improvement, as its very probable I've overlooked something given the fact I am the main contributor to it.
At the current time, i'm advocating weather to merge List of Seven Samurai 20XX characters and Weapons in Seven Samurai 20XX to increase the article length and make it suitible for FA status. -ZeroTalk 14:35, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- This strikes me as a very polished and appropriate article; good job! The tone is good, consistent use of voice, good summary of the game without needless detail. While I like the list of characters and weapons, I don't think they should go in the article. I hate to say it, but that's the kind of thing that ends up getting deleted from the article. For example, I put a lot of work into editing the weapons information in Stick Arena and other editors took it out as over-detail and more "game manual" type stuff. In order to make a drive toward FA, I think you would need to find some more sources for material than walkthroughs, etc. For example, if you could find some articles on comparing this game to the Seven Samurai films, animation, etc, that would be a great addition. - References that describe the movie in reference to the game would most likely be located in negative opinions through game reviews from what I can ascertain. In the Game Informer review, one said "This is in no way paying respect to the legendary film". I'll look about and see if I can locate a stand alone article about this. -ZeroTalk 14:46, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- If you could get the japanese title that would be great. I know the romanji is 20XX: Shichinin no Samurai. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 10:34, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- According to the Japanese Box art and the official site before it was replaced, the name is identical to the english version. -ZeroTalk 10:49, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
