Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Peer review/Pwn
Appearance
I believe that this terminology is an important part of gaming culture and I am hoping to work on it to get it to GA standards. Where to begin? I am looking for a bit of guidance on where I can start. Thanks! Greeves (talk • contribs) 18:33, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Introduction is too long compared to the rest of the article. Try to create a section about history and move some of the content there.
- The article contains some weasel words:
- "..."pwn" was generally perceived as an honest error..."
- "...The etymology of the term pwn is believed to be rooted..."
- The quotations belong in Wikiquote, not there. You might list some of the notable quotes (i.e: quotes which have spawned the more popular usage of the term) with a wikiquote link (I'm sure there's some wikiquote link template around).
- The etymology is written about twice, in almost the same wording. Try removing some of the information from the introduction, and changing the wording to make it less redundant.
- Some information is scattered throughout the article. Try for example to move the sentences on pronunciation in the quotations section to the pronunciation section.
- Hope this helps you. --User:Krator (t c) 13:31, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
