Wikipedia:WikiProject Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons/Pledgathon

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Welcome to the first WikiProject Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons Pledgathon (or BLP pledgathon for short). This is a co-ordinated effort to reduce the number of potentially libellous unsourced articles about real people. We want to get as broad a participation as possible, since literally any editor can help with this effort. That means you!

Here's how it works

[edit]
The Modest Barnstar
The Modest Barnstar will be awarded for work on five or more articles.
The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
The Tireless Contributor Barnstar will be awarded for work on 25 or more articles.
The BLP Barnstar
The BLP Barnstar will be awarded for work on 50 or more articles.
  1. You pledge below to deal with a number of randomly selected, unreferenced biographies of living people. Each pledge approximates to around 15 minutes of your time, and you are perfectly allowed to pledge just one or two articles. Every little helps. You can also select whether you would be happy to be contacted about future pledgathons.
  2. Registration will remain open for 14 days. The target for this pledgathon is 100 articles with an "extend and challenge" target of 200 articles.
  3. At the end of the 14 days, articles will be randomly selected for each participant, and a simple, understandable instruction sheet will be linked next to them.
  4. You are under no obligation to either improve or nominate the articles you have been presented, but if you do, barnstars will be awarded.
  5. Wikipedia gains.

Simple as that!
