U.S. Route 1 in New York
- Class: C-Class article
- Action required: Replacement map
- Status: New request
- KML: Yes [1]
- Comments: The existing map should be replaced with one that focuses on the Manhattan, Bronx, and Southeastern Westchester County area, because the route is barely visible at the bottom of the current map. -----User:DanTD (talk) 03:12, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
- No opposition on the condition it has the state of NY and a box marking the location. Mitch32(The best ideas are common property.) 03:18, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
- True, but it's only within a small portion of the state. The rest of it tends to take the focus away from the route. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 03:21, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
- Lately I have not been adding locator insets simply because we have KML. –Fredddie™ 03:43, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

- Good news and bad news. Bad news: I got a flat on my weekend bike ride so if you wanted a photo of the northern terminus of CR 563, New Lisbon, Woodmansie, Four Mile, or Bullock, New Jersey, you're out of luck. The good news, the extra time at home allowed me to finish the map up quicker and here it is: File:Delaware highway system map.svg Let me know if you need any linework changes or overall size bumped up. {{Done}} —Mr. Matté (Talk/Contrib) 17:28, 11 July 2015 (UTC)

- Comments: Note, the Marine Highway is a ferry system that serves coastal Alaska as our "highway." The State of Alaska Department of Transportation has KML files at http://www.dot.alaska.gov/stwdplng/mapping/kml.shtml. I don't know if when they say "route" they mean for the marine highway or if it is a KML file for the more traditional highway system. Thank you for any assistance you can provide for this project. - @Philroc: if you don't include a signature in the same edit as you added a {{ping}}, it won't work to ping Fredddie or anyone else. I too cannot access the linked KML. It just says: "You need permission. Want in? Ask the owner for access, or switch to an account with permission." If you can download a copy of the KML file, open it in a plain text editor and then copy/paste it into the contents of Template:Attached_KML/Arkansas_Highway_69, that would correct the KML on our servers. - Comments: Currently U.S. Route 25 in Michigan is at WP:FAC, and this article is headed there afterwards, assuming it has a map. As this is a decommissioned highway from 1962, some care should be taken in marking Interstate Highways (for instance, most of I-69 was not yet approved and none of it was built yet, and what is now I-196 was mostly unfinished and still officially numbered I-96.) I can supply scanned copies of the 1962 MSHD map, if desired. Lastly, it would be nice if the coloration style would match the US 25 map that Fredddie made. Imzadi 1979 → 15:41, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

The new current routing of I-87 is from I-40/I-440/US 64 interchange (exit 16) to US 64 Business in Wendell (exit 429); on google maps it appears to be 12.6 miles long. - Comments: Of the US 66 articles, only the Kansas state-detail article has a KML. If a few of us take a few days, we can get them knocked out. I think it would be neat if we could show how the route changed, say go every 10 years, so we can show the route in 1926, 1936, 1946, 1956, 1966, 1976, and upon decommissioning. If someone has a better idea of time period milestones, please speak up. Anyway, I'm looking for help to make KMLs for US 66. I am willing to compile the state KMLs into one mega file for the main US 66 article. –Fredddie™ 01:44, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
- @Fredddie: I would like to help, but the US66 route is no longer in use (as far as I know) so I don't know how to easily do it. Thewombatguru (talk) 23:33, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Fredddie: I recreated the one for Kansas, it wasn't clear what alignment it used so I added that to it. If you want me to help with the others, maybe we could do that together? TheWombatGuru (talk) 07:23, 25 November 2014 (UTC)

- Comments: Requesting the combination of the route's Connecticut and Massachusetts maps, as well as the two KML files. I would also advocate for not having solid red and dotted red lines, which some bi-state roads in the area do have, as I don't think it's easy to see the difference when the map is that small. Not sure if there is a specific policy that requires this, though. Thanks — C16SH (speak up) 18:02, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- {{done}} with an interactive map. The state line is clearly visible and it's one solid line. The solid/dotted line combo was never really standard (see WP:IAR). –Fredddie™ 22:25, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Also there should be a blue Interstate Highway representing Interstate 169 in Brownsville, Texas from Interstate 69E in Olmito, Texas to the Port of Brownsville.: NJRobbie (talk) 00:35, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
