Scoring

[edit]

All of the following are to USRD areas only. An article is considered part of USRD if it is tagged for assessment by USRD. Please read all of the specifics. The state you choose has no bearing on points; it is just for decoration.

For each round, points will be reset; each person will start with 0 points. Stuff that passes in between rounds will count for the next round if you make it. Stuff from the last round that passes in future rounds will count for that future round.

I reserve the right to adjust the point values through the contest since I can't foresee every possible scenario that might occur.)

I reserve the right to penalize or deny points to participants who do not put full work into meeting the criteria set by USRD. The penalties will differ depending what the situation is.

Normal editing

[edit]
  • Mainspace edits - NOTHING
  • Improving an article's assessment (through work that you did) - 6 points from Stub to B, 3 points for Start to C, 1 point from C to B, 2 points from Stub -> Start. (If I see half-bakes, you'll be penalized 50% of the points of that nom.)
    • You cannot get this point for GA, A, and FA.
    • 4x multiplier for bottom 5 states on leaderboard. (No half-bakes. This is ultimate points. Any half-baked articles will be penalized three times the original amount)
    • New this year - you must use the submissions page.
    • If you create an article that is not notable or split off an article unnecessarily you will not get any points; you may also be assessed a penalty.
    • For all of the above there will be a 50% deduction for county route articles.

USRD participation

[edit]
  • Submitting news for the portal – 1

  • Doing a GAN review of a USRD article - 3
    • Must be done properly. Improper reviews (drive-by reviews) will lose 15 points.
  • Doing an ACR review - 10
    • Improper reviews (drive-by reviews) will lose 20 points.
  • Giving input on a peer review - 4
  • Nominations such as FAC, GAN, etc. that take a while must be fully completed by (24 hours after the contest ends) in order to receive points. FAC takes about 2.5 weeks (on average); GAN could be a month at least. I will try to review GANs and speed ACRs through the system; however, any uncompleted / unreviewed ones will not receive points in the current round. Plan accordingly.
  • Leaving a detailed review on a USRD FAC - 6
