The railroad of the Wyoming Railway Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad, located in the State of Wyoming. The owned main line extends southwestwardly from Clearmont to Buffalo, a distance of 27.796 miles. The carrier also owns and uses 2.107 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 29.903 miles of all tracks owned.
- CORPORATE HISTORY
The carrier was incorporated May 26, 1909, under the general laws of the State of Wyoming. It perfected its organization on March 8, 1910.
- DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY
The owned mileage of the carrier was acquired by it through construction, which began in July, 1913. The road was completed and opened for operation in sections from 1914 to 1918. The carrier gave a contract for the construction of its road to the Wyoming Construction and Development Company, as explained further in the section of this report devoted to "history of corporate financing."
