The railroad of Verde Tunnel & Smelter Railroad Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad located in the central part of Arizona. The owned mileage extends from Hopewell to Clarkdale, a distance of 7.405 miles. The carrier also owns 4.094 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its owned and operated road thus embraces 11.499 miles of all tracks. Further description of the carrier's property will be found in Appendix 1.
