The railroad property of the Sioux City Bridge Company, herein called the Sioux City Bridge, is located in the States of Iowa and Nebraska, and comprises a bridge across the Missouri River, together with a single-track, standard-gauge, steam railroad, extending from Sioux City, Iowa, to South Sioux City, Nebr., 3.879 miles. The Sioux City Bridge also owns 1.572 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 5.451 miles of all tracks owned, classified by States in the trackage table in Appendix 1. The Sioux City Bridge is controlled jointly by the North Western and the Omaha. The latter operates the property as agent for the owner. The property is used under trackage rights by the Omaha and the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad Company.

CORPORATE HISTORY

The Sioux City Bridge was incorporated November 20, 1872, under the general laws of the State of Iowa, and on May 18, 1889, under the general laws of the State of Nebraska, for the purpose of constructing and operating a railroad bridge across the Missouri River at or near Sioux City, Iowa. Congress by an act, approved August 15, 1876, granted to the company the right to build a bridge over the Missouri River at the point named. The date of organization of the company was January 1, 1873.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY
