The railroad of the Reading and Columbia Railroad Company, herein called the Reading and Columbia, is a single-track, standard-gage, steam railroad, located in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania. The owned mileage aggregates 53.460 miles of road and consists of a main line extending southerly from Sinking Springs to Columbia with branch lines from Lancaster Junction to Lancaster, Manheim to White Oak Station, and from White Oak Station to a connection with the Cornwall Railroad, Philadelphia and Reading System, at a point just north of Mount Hope near Cornwall.
