The railroad of the Okmulgee Northern Railway Company, herein called the carrier, is a single-track, standard-gage, steam railroad, located in eastern Oklahoma. The main line extends northwesterly from Deep Fork to Okmulgee, a distance of 10.331 miles. The carrier also owns 1.710 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 12.041 miles of all tracks owned and used.
The carrier uses under trackage rights 11.6 miles of road of the Missouri, Oklahoma and Gulf Railway Company, for passenger business only, between Deep Fork and Henryetta, Okla.
- CORPORATE HISTORY
The carrier was incorporated December 15, 1915, under the general laws of Oklahoma, for tbe purpose of constructing and operating a railroad from Okmulgee to Deep Fork, Okla.
- DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY
The entire road owned by the carrier, consisting of 10.331 miles of main line, extending from Okmulgee to Deep Fork, Okla., was constructed for it, under contract, by J. W. Hoffman and Company, of Kansas City, Mo. The road was completed and placed in operation October 8, 1916.
