The number of miles of first main track owned and operated by the carrier is 5.458, in addition to which there are 5.253 miles of second main track and 26.194 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Corporate history.—The carrier was incorporated under the general laws of the State of Ohio, June 10, 1899, and, as indicated in its charter, for the purpose of constructing, leasing, and operating a railroad in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The organization of the carrier was perfected June 12, 1899. The carrier is controlled by American Steel and Wire Company through ownership of all of the outstanding capital stock. The detailed facts as to the development of the fixed physical property are given in Appendix 2.
