The railroad of the New York Short Line Railroad, herein called the New York Short Line, extends from Cheltenham to Neshaminy Falls, Pa., a distance of 9.376 miles, The line is double track throughout with a section of third main track for a part of its length.
- CORPORATE HISTORY
The New York Short Line was incorporated May 7, 1903, under the general laws of Pennsylvania. It was organized on the same date.
- DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY
The mileage owned by the New York Short Line, amounting to 9.376 miles, was acquired by construction during the years 1904, 1905, and 1906. Most of the construction was performed under contract. The road was opened for operation May 27, 1906.
