The property of the Nashville Terminal Company, herein called the Nashville Terminal, whose entire common-carrier property is leased to and operated by the carrier, consists of 5.133 miles of single-track, standard-gauge road, passenger and freight stations, and a bridge over the Cumberland River, all located in and around the city of Nashville, Tenn.

CORPORATE HISTORY

The Nashville Terminal was incorporated June 7, 1894, under the general laws of the State of Tennessee for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, maintaining, operating, or leasing to others, railroad terminal facilities for the accommodation of passengers and for handling and transferring freight in and around the city of Nashville, Tenn. The date of organization was June 8, 1894.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned property, comprising a passenger and freight station, together with a bridge over Cumberland River and 5.133 miles of main line in or adjacent to the city of Nashville, Tenn., was all acquired by construction during the period from about 1900 to 1904, mainly under contract with the Tennessee Construction Company. The records reviewed do not indicate whether the construction company was affiliated with the railroad company.
