The Georgia and Florida Terminal was incorporated June 27, 1910, under the general laws of Georgia, for the purpose of furnishing terminal facilities for use of the carrier, and for other purposes. The date of organization was June 29, 1910.
- DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY
The owned property, comprising freight and passenger stations, 1.395 miles of terminal railroad, and 1.894 miles of terminal yard tracks at Valdosta, Ga., and 1.006 miles of terminal yard tracks, freight station, and other terminal facilities located at Augusta, Ga., were all acquired by construction during the period September, 1910, to June, 1912. The construction work was performed partly by the carrier and partly by the Augusta Construction Company, Incorporated, another affiliated corporation.
