The railroad of The Georgia Northern Railway Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge railroad, extending from Boston, Ga., to Albany, Ga., a distance of 66.723 miles. The carrier also owns and uses 10.201 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 76.924 miles of all tracks owned.

The property described had its origin in a 12-mile tram between Pidcock and Pavo built by the Quitman Lumber Company. This tram was sold to the Boston and Albany Railroad Company, which then built about 10 miles of road from Pavo to Moultrie. After the above-described transactions and the bankruptcy and sale of the Boston and Albany for $75,000, this property passed, as previously explained, to the carrier on February 7, 1895. The changing of the southern terminus, as heretofore described, from Pidcock to Boston in 1905, did not materially change the total mileage.
