The railroad of the East Mahanoy Railroad Company, herein called the East Mahanoy Railroad, is a partly double-track line extending from East Mahanoy Junction to Mahanoy City, Pa., with a branch from Mahanoy Tunnel to Haucks Station, Pa., a distance of 8.649 miles.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The East Mahanoy Railroad was incorporated May 20, 1859, by special act of Pennsylvania approved April 21, 1854. The date of organization was December 18, 1858.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The mileage owned by the East Mahanoy Railroad, amounting to 8.649 miles, was acquired by it through construction.
