CORPORATE HISTORY

The Duluth Union Depot and Transfer was incorporated March 12, 1889, under the general laws of the State of Minnesota, as The Duluth Union Depot Company, for the purpose of acquiring and constructing a union passenger station and a system of transfer tracks for the accommodation of all railroads entering the city of Duluth, Minn. The name of the company was changed to The Duluth Union Depot and Transfer Company July 18, 1892.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned mileage of the Duluth Union Depot and Transfer, amounting to 2.793 miles of all tracks, was constructed by it. Construction work was commenced in 1890, and the road was completed and placed in operation on March 1, 1892.
